Summer Atlantic Capital was founded by a group of operators who had spent years building companies globally. Whether scaling SaaS platforms in Southeast Asia, growing manufacturing operations in Brazil, or expanding service businesses across Africa—we'd learned the hard way what it takes to build exceptional companies at scale.

Sebright Chen
Founder & CEO
Mr. Sebright Chen is the Founder & CEO of SAC Nexus, and Summer Atlantic Capital. With 15+ years in alternative asset management, Chen has built and scaled investment operations across emerging markets in APAC, Europe, and the Americas—investing, advising, and operating through multiple market cycles. Mr. Chen received his MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. His leadership has been honored with numerous international awards. He founded SAC Nexus to solve a problem he lived daily: the operational fragmentation that slows deal cycles, obscures risk, and bloats technology costs for global investment teams.

The Problem He Solved:
During his tenure in global markets, Mr. Chen observed a critical inefficiency: world-class investors using Stone Age tools. Fund managers were juggling Carta for cap tables, Bloomberg for data, spreadsheets for valuations, separate tools for risk and ESG, and manual escrow processes for deals. Compounding the complexity: every market had its own compliance quirks, banking partners, and currency challenges. Yet most platforms were US-centric, built for one type of investor, and inflexible. "l realized," Mr. Chen says, "that the market was solving this problem individually—each fund building their own data layer. That's a $18.6B inefficiency tax across the industry."
The Solution He Built:
In 2025, Mr. Chen founded SAC Nexus with a singular focus: replace institutional fragmentation with intelligent integration. Working with a team of engineers, data scientists, and compliance experts, he built the first true end-to-end operating system for anyone managing capital globally—combining portfolio intelligence, 8-factor risk scoring, ESG impact tracking, real-time market insights, partnership network analysis, and multi-currency settlement. Behind Mr. Chen is a team of experienced operators who have spent their careers building and scaling companies across software, financial services, logistics, manufacturing, and consumer markets. Collectively, they have worked on more than 50 successful builds and exits across a dozen+ global markets, bringing hard-won operating judgment to every partnership.
